GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 46771
File name color heuristic fails on some backgrounds
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The text displayed beneath file icons is not always chosen correctly. (version is 0.8.1 from Gnome 1.4 beta 1 BTW) * REPRODUCIBLE: Always * STEPS TO REPRODUCE: Select the background that is downloadable from: http://www.fandom.com/south_park/Image.asp?action=page&type_id=8975&obj_id=213775&cat_id=8988&sub_id=0 * ACTUAL RESULTS: The text displayed beneath the icons is white, which is hard to read. * EXPECTED RESULTS: Black text should have been better in the upper left corner (beneath the red "sweet.com"). ------- Additional Comments From jonas.devuyst@advalvas.be 2001-03-30 13:22:17 ---- Just an idea I had. For TV subtitles this situation is resolved by putting a semi-transparant grey box after the white text. Perhaps something like this could be used for Nautilus too? ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-30 14:14:25 ---- This is almost certainly a duplicate of 43974. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-30 14:15:51 ---- Resolving as duplicate, so that folks on 3974 know this is a commonly requested feature. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 43974 *** ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:58 -------
