crash in PostScript Viewer: Leaving ggv after readin...
Last modified: 2007-09-15 11:53:48 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed? Leaving ggv after reading a paper. This is only a hunch, but this is an SMP machine and FreeBSD has thrown out libpthread in favour of libthread. This is not an application I use daily or it would have been quickly fixed. As a 'last resort' the real lipbpthread could be used, but personally I feel that using the modern Unix threads lib is a good move. I can get to only 10 maybe 20 programs a day and often they have already been fixed. Therefore just a recompile will fix it, as long as the version number has been bumped up. Binaries like Adobe Flash(th) are hopeless and the build environment is completely foreign to me. (They brag how perfect it is -- They pre-processed some code with a Mac.) On the other hand, some similar applications, like "evince", a similar document viewer, is vastly superiour to any commercial software, like Acrobat(tm). Time for another 'massive upgrade', I guess.
