GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 467000
RFE: Show GnuCash dialog boxen/splash screen in Alt-Tab.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:46:05 UTC
I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2. 1. Move the account file via Windows Explorer to a new location. 2. Start up GnuCash. 3. Navigate to another window. Problem: 4. Can't see the "GnuCash cannot find the file" error message until I minimise windows to get to it. This goes for any error or alert message, and the splash screen. It's a problem because I frequently have many windows open and maximised, so often I forget that I've opened it and will try again, with all the same problems. Today, I only knew I opened it because I had to open the Task Manager for something unrelated, and I saw 'gnucash-bin.exe' and 'gconfd-2.exe' in there. I suggested Alt-Tab vs. the Start bar because that's where other dialog boxen/splash screens tend to go, in my experience.
