Description tvst 2007-08-11 20:35:48 UTC
In my experience, the wireless network list on nm-applet does not get updated often enough. When I run "iwlist [wireless card] scan" I can see that the current network topology is often different from what is on nm-applet's list. This becomes a problem when you'd like to connect to a network that is available (ie. it appears on iwlist) but is not yet on nm-applet's menu. Currently, the user must wait for nm-applet to re-scan the networks. Therefore, my request is that a "reload" option is added to the nm-applet menu. To save real-estate, this feature can be added as an icon next to the "Wireless Networks" subtitle.
