Description Carlos Eduardo Rodrigues Diógenes 2007-08-10 18:49:14 UTC
I'm using Ubuntu 7.04 and when I click a PDF link in the browser and ask it to be opened with evince, the evince window stay on top of the other, but the evince window doesn't get the focus.

This behaver is wrong from my POV, since I didn't interact with any other application during the time I ask to open the PDF file.

Moreover, Firefox is really the application that have the focus, since if I click in it's window list representation the firefox window get's minimized.

the unactive evince window over the others

This picture shows the problem that I'm having, since I would expect that the evince window be active.

Sorry for the slow turnaround in getting back to you on this. This would be a Metacity problem, yes.

Does this happen with any other programs you launch from Firefox?

The fact that you can minimise Firefox by clicking its icon on the window list just shows that it isn't already minimised: it shows nothing about its focus.

I don't know, since I can't reproduce this anymore in Ubuntu 7.10

Okay, well, let us know if it happens again, and please come and tell us if anything else goes wrong. Thanks :)
