GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 465307
not enough space for smart bookmarks
Last modified: 2016-10-07 21:28:37 UTC
its a little complicate to explain, so here goes a screenshoot Other information:
Created attachment 93415 [details] screenshoot explaining the bug as you can see lots of smartbookmars aren't visible due the amount of normal bookmarks and since there's no scrollbar I can't go to some smart bookmarks
Confirming. It might be a good time to give some love to that UI.
ping: anyone working on it? it can be achieved by a noob like me? :)
The real problem is to think what to do with the UI, after that we can implement it. Honestly I don't know what to do with it. Maybe we can make the rows less tall at least.
Sounds like a GTK+ issue to me. The normal list entries can be scrolled, but the actions cannot...

Created attachment 193477 [details] Odd number of bookmarks
Created attachment 193478 [details] Even number of bookmarks I'm using Epiphany 3.0.3 in Fedora 15. Given that, this bug seems to be solved. It happens that with an odd number of smart bookmarks the history listing goes a bit beyond the browser window (as shown in Screenshot-odd); but with an even number of smart bookmarks the listing element falls completely inside the browser window (as shown in Screenshot-even). I've tested this behaviour with less bookmarks, and it's reproducible. I've not checked out the code doing the drawing to be sure, though.
Hi, the bookmarks code has been rewritten from scratch. When you have a convenient opportunity to test the new version of the code (which will be present in Epiphany 3.23.1) please check to see if your issue is still a problem, and reply here. Thanks!
Hi, this is a mass close of all bugs in the NEEDINFO state. If you think this bug was closed improperly, just leave a comment, thanks!
