It would be a really nice adition to gnucash if the user could, while entering a new transaction, associate a file with the transaction (e.g. a file containing a scan of the receipt of the transaction).

It could be implemented as a new field in each account tab where the user could click to select a file to associate with the transaction or, if the transaction had already been entered and the file associated, open a viewer application for the file.
