Description cdefranoux 2007-08-03 14:17:27 UTC
While I saved my image, Gimp crashed without raising any error. But the main problem is not here: because of this crash, the file seems to be corrupted!

I can't believe that Gimp saves the image directly on the destination file... Why not save the image on a temporary file first and then perform the replacement if everything worked fine? In that case, I would only have lost my last two minutes of work, not an entire day!

This would need changes in all file plug-ins and we still need a library to abstract this away properly. Closing as a duplicate of bug #139354.
