GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 462595
Unable to skip the current track on last.fm
Last modified: 2008-11-05 23:08:17 UTC
This bug has been filled here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/129665 "How to reproduce: o Load rhythmbox o Listen to any last.fm stream o click the "Skip the current track" button Some of the time this will advance to the next track, but very often it will simply disable the last.fm buttons."
i confirm this ug on 0.10.x
The last.fm streaming protocol seems to have changed in a variety of strange and unhelpful ways. Ugh.
Yes, this used to work for me but I haven't been able to skip to the next track when streaming last.fm for several months now. From comment #2, I guess this is a server-side problem...? :(
Bump. Is there a fix on the horizon?
(In reply to comment #4) > Bump. > > Is there a fix on the horizon? For someone who knows the last.fm plugin fairly well, it shouldn't be too difficult to check a current version of audioscrobbler svn://svn.audioscrobbler.net/client in order to see what's necessary to skip the track and perform the appropriate steps in the rb plugin.

This will be fixed when we switch to last.fm's new streaming system.
I've just committed the new last.fm streaming system changes, so this is fixed.
