GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 460630
HTML Gantt chart lacks predecessor arrows between tasks
Last modified: 2021-06-09 20:39:10 UTC
By adding predecessor arrows to HTML Gantt chart, the HTML chart will (a) more closely resemble the application's Gantt chart view which is somewhat expected, (b) include vital task relationship information in an easily interpreted fashion. In particular, milestones are difficult to understand without knowing on what they depend. Other information: This HTML export feature is a great unique value-added feature. It just could use a little more work to become absolutely outstanding!
Hi! Are there news about this issue, please? If you take a look at this chart http://alioth.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/planner.png and then at it exported http://alioth.debian.org/~naoliv/misc/planner-exported.png you will see that the missing arrows makes the chart harder to understand. Thank you!
The trick is in finding a solution that: - is self-contained (the exported version should be just a single HTML file) - is well supported (SVG is not) - performs well If you have any ideas, or better yet, can come up with a sample file to demonstrate it please let me know.
Can unicode arrows be used? http://www.alanwood.net/unicode/arrows.html
