Description Yves Bajard 2007-07-24 15:10:17 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I was trying the new Mandrival 2007.1 (Spring) PWP 64 dkistribution that I had just installed on my new computer. After installing adequately the parameters of Evolution, (I checked with my server support people), I was unable to connect to my server feor e-mail (I have no problem with Internet in general). My old computer, unsing MDV 2007.0 had no problem connecting to the ISP and getting/sending e-mail through evolution with exactly the same parameters.

I tried the same onb the new maqchine with Mozilla Thunderbird and with K mail and could not connect to my ISP for e-mail with any of these programs. Yet, with my Windows vista partition on the same machine, I had no problem getting e-,mail with Windows-mail..

I probably put this comment onto a wrong slot:

Here it is again:

The issue resolved itself. This morning, for a reason I do not understand, the connection was established, Evolution asked for my password, which I gave, and I started receiving mail. I'd like to get wahtever explanation or comments from you, though. Thanks in advance.
