Description Sebastian Hoss 2007-07-21 15:18:05 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Evince in it latest creation does not render pdf created with tex correct. it scales them very poorly and the font is poorly readable

Steps to reproduce:
1. open a pdf which was created with (la)tex
2. ...
3. profit! ... i guess you will see for yourself

Actual results:
evince will display the pdf poorly

Expected results:
actually display it in a way that one can read it (as older versions did!)

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
evince 0.9 was unaffected by this. 0.9.1 is not. i already wrote a comment about this in bug 314847

Thanks for report Sebastian. It's really a poppler issue, probably something changed between 0.9.1 and 0.9 like splash vs cairo backend. Try test applications from poppler itself, you can just compare quality with them.

The only thing we can do here is to track everything in a previous bug.
