Description mailforwho 2007-07-15 19:57:16 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When a copy, move, delete, etc dialogue encounters a problem (say, a file that it wants to overwrite) the filename shown is not nearly long enough for the user to make an informed decision about what to do! Thus, they have to cancel the operation rather than risk making the wrong choice.

Steps to reproduce:
1. make a blank file on your desktop and call it something long - I used '01 - title - artist.ogg'
2. Drag it to a fat32 volume

Actual results:
You get an error message saying
Error "Invalid parameters" while copying "/home/usern...rtist.ogg ".

Expected results:
The same dialogue appears, but there is some way to view the COMPLETE filename

Does this happen every time?
Yep
