What were you doing when the application crashed?
When evolution is launched with calendars view, the customized layout of the window is ignored (task bar at left). It works fine when I launch with mail view and then go to calendar view

Distribution: openSUSE 10.2 (i586)
Gnome Release: 2.16.1 2006-11-28 (SUSE)
BugBuddy Version: 2.16.0

what exactly do you mean by "customized layout"? as far as i know, the task bar cannot be moved to the left (if you have done that, please tell me how :-)

Sorry it wasn't left but right.

In calendar mode, I have moved the bar at right (taks, memos).
If I start Evolution directly in calendar mode, the bar is at the wrong place (at the default place).
If I start Evolution in mail mode and then I go to calendar mode, the bar is at the right place.

Is it better ?
Comment 3 André Klapper 2007-07-18 02:28:59 UTC
well, where have you moved the bar, and how did you do that?
last sentence: "right place" means "correct place" or really "right place" ("right" like "left" here)? :-)
can you give me a screenshot (please make sure that there is no confidential data in it)? thanks in advance!

Seems to work fine here in 2.27.2.

Could you please confirm if this bug is still happening at your end ? Please try in 2.24.x / 2.26.x and report back, thanks.

I can't say whether the bug has been fixed because the behaviour has changed (my version is 2.26.1). Now, I can't start in calendar mode, I start in mail mode each time. Then, I have to go to calendar mode (this way has always worked).

In fact, I was able to start in calendar mode and then I couldn't anymore, so I think there is still a bug related to this one but I couldn't reproduce it.

you can start in calendar view from terminal, use below command

evolution -c calendar

I have also verified in same way.

I'm sorry but it doesn't work on my computer.

Way to reproduce:
1. evolution -c calendar
2. I change the width of the task bar
3. quit evolution
4. evolution -c calendar
5. the width of the task bar is the default one and not the one I set during step 2

Hi cousinb,
if you have time, could you please check again whether this issue still happens in Evolution 3.8.5 or 3.6.4 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field and provide information about your distribution? Thanks a lot.
