Description Choi, Ji-Hui 2007-07-14 01:45:31 UTC
Please describe the problem:
when I install gimp-help-2 korean part, but there's no korean folder(ko).
and I can find these files on italian folder(it)

so I guess there's a problem with gimp-help-2 installer.
please check installer.

because of this, korean and italian can't see help files.

Steps to reproduce:
1. install gimp-help-2
2. choose korean and italian
3. see gimp help folder

what package are you talking about here - the make preview stuff from svn? Some (win) installers provided by third parties?

For the first choice it's a "works for me'
If the second choice is yours, I'd suggest you talk to the guys providing the installer. We do not have any influence to this.
Comment 2 Choi, Ji-Hui 2007-07-15 08:47:55 UTC
I use the installer from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html

this installer works well. but has an error to move files.
(korean files are in italian folder)

and 'cause I downloaded from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
I think I have to ask on here, haven't?

Why you think you should put bugs from a sourceforge project to the GIMP bugzilla? Jus because their webpage looks similar to ours? Please note, that they have a project page at http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win/ that links not only to a help forum at http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=412898.

But I have to admit that it is a bit strange that they also have a link to our bugzilla on their project homepage.

Anyways, I'd suggest to tell _THEM_ via their forum, that the help installer might be broken for ko.

@Roman: shall we close this bug here?

yeah.. I think I wrote on a wrong place.
but how could I know the diffence between gimp, gimp-help, gimp-win, etc.

anyway, now I know. I don't like your saying. but thanks.

Sorry, this was not thought to step on your feet. But you are a GIMP manual author and as such I thought you would know the difference between the GIMP project and the third party projects that do each binary packaging. We are not providing _any_ binaries of GIMP of the GIMP manual. Just the plain source lyrics :)

I reassign this bug to GIMP.
