GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 456067
Currency Convertion in Equity:Opening Balance is missed.
Last modified: 2018-06-29 21:42:29 UTC
Please describe the problem: I am a user in China, so I set my default currency to CNY. And since I've got some stocks from NASDAQ in hand, I set them to USD. I'm just starting accounting my finance, so I set the stocks transfer to Equity:Opening Balance. After my setting of stocks' shares and currency exchange, all except Equity:Opening Balance get the right number. I dived into the journal of Equity:Opening Balance, it seemed that the convention wasn't made to stocks (i.e. it still used USD, added to other transactions all of which used CNY just in quantity.) Steps to reproduce: 1. set your default currency to CNY 2. transfer your stocks in USD from Equity:Opening Balance 3. open transactions journal in Equity:Opening Balance subaccount Actual results: Stocks in USD are added to other transactions in CNY without any conversion. Expected results: Before being added to other transactions in CNY, stocks in USD should be converted Does this happen every time? Y Other information:
