patch to add a 6 pixel *grey* (don't know how to change) border around the text view (1.16 KB, patch)

Description Brett Neely 2001-09-10 00:53:41 UTC
I would like to see a whitespace margin of approximately 5-10 pixels in the text
view. Having text be snug with the top and left borders of text view is ugly.

------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2001-01-08 09:34:39 ----

I agree that some margin would make it look better. Not sure exactly what amount
is needed (5-10 pixels seems high to me).

------- Additional Comments From arlo@workthatmouse.com 2001-01-08 11:50:15 ----

That's actually just right.

I'd recommend either 6.

------- Additional Comments From brett@eazel.com 2001-01-29 15:07:02 ----

Oops, I was pretty vague in my bug report. I guessed at 5-10 pixels as a
maximum margin for 400% zoom in icon view, or when a desktop icon is scaled very
large. At 100% zoom in icon view and below, a smaller margin would be good.

------- Additional Comments From brett@eazel.com 2001-01-31 18:10:20 ----

Please ignore my last comment. I was confusing text view and preview text
icons.

Is this a duplicate of 43668?

(or vice-versa; this bug has more information.)

Changing to "old" target milestone for all bugs laying around with no milestone set.
Comment 2 Dave Bordoley [Not Reading Bug Mail] 2002-04-16 18:29:06 UTC
still an issue with the new 1.1.x text view
Comment 3 Luis Villa 2002-04-17 04:23:25 UTC
Dave, this isn't exactly gnome2 material, but if it is trivial, it
can't hurt to fix.
