GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 453745
Panel Does Not Autohide
Last modified: 2007-07-05 12:58:35 UTC
Please describe the problem: When auto-hide is enabled and the panel receives focus, the panel requires a mouse exit event to be received for the panel to be hidden again. There are many ways, some of which are outlined below, for a user to move the mouse outside of the physical area of the menu without triggering a close event. The end result is that the user's focus is elsewhere, while the panel remains unhidden. Steps to reproduce: This can be reproduced by: -Right-clicking on an applet in the notification area, then left-clicking on the desktop; -Running beryl and doing any action while the taskbar is unhidden. Actual results: The panel does not hide. To get the panel to hide (and thus for functionality to be restored) it is necessary to move the mouse over the panel, and back out again. Expected results: The panel should hide. Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information:
