Description Gabor Kelemen 2007-07-01 15:26:31 UTC
Please describe the problem:
#: C/goscustdesk.xml:633(para)
Use the <application>Preferred Applications</application> preference tool to specify the applications that you want the GNOME Desktop to use when the GNOME Desktop starts an application for you. For example, you can specify <application>Xterm</application> as your preferred terminal application. When you open the <guimenu>System</guimenu> menu then choose <guimenuitem>Open Terminal</guimenuitem>, <application>Xterm</application> starts.

There is no "Open Terminal" entry under the System menu for me. In fact, I don't have such menu item at all in 2.18/2.19.

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual results:

Expected results:

Does this happen every time?

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

The System -> Open Terminal link might be a Sun customisation, as described in bug 413452.
