What were you doing when the application crashed? While, using the gnome panel applet, in People->Online Now, after right clicking a gaim contact and clicked on "add to favorite". Gaim was opened before the Gimmie was added to the panel. Called "net usershare info" but it failed: 'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: usershares are currently disabled After doing a search for the offending "net usershare info" call... This error will be returned by net usershare info when one has "security = user" in their /etc/samba/smb.conf configuation file. Changing it to "security = share" will fix the problem of the net usershare call failing. As to a fix to the code such that this won't kill the program, I don't know what kind of test can be performed to see if "usershares are currently disabled."
