Description gbil 2007-06-28 14:09:23 UTC
Please describe the problem:
I have setup a local cosmo calendar web server to use with evolution but it seems that when I add the caldav link cosmo gives for my calendar nothing appears on evolution. The only entry in console I get is:

calendar-gui-Message: Check if default client matches (1182940075.3010.1@CPC464 1182940075.3010.1@CPC464)

If I use the webcal link from cosmo, I get the calendar entries on evolution but is read only.

Just to note that the caldav link works perfect on sunbird, with read/write ability so it doesn't seem to be something wrong with cosmo.

I've tried deleting all evolution preferences and directory but I get the same behaviour.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Add a caldav calendar from cosmos
2.
3.

Actual results:
Entries don't appear on evolution

Expected results:
Caldav calendar entries to appear on Evolution

Does this happen every time?
Yes

I have a similar problem with Evolution version 1.10.x (on Ubuntu Feisty) and 1.12.0 (on Ubuntu Gutsy) with the RSCS (now DAViCal) Server.

Anything works perfect in Sunbird and iCal, but Evolution does simply show nothing.

I checked the communication (with authentication et al) and sent it to the DAViCal developer, but we did not found anything unusual in it.

When I add an event in evolution it's correctly added to the CalDAV store. It's shown in Evolution as long as the cache exists. If the delete the cache, all events vanish. It's still correctly in the CalDAV store and is displayed in all other clients. I tried a full restart, but it does not help.

Hope this will be fixed soon, because we need CalDAV!

This might be related to bug #496742.

I agree With Kumaran, this seems like the same issue, thus marking as duplicate. Please try with coming-soon 2.24 version whether it's really fixed. I know it's fixed for rscds, but I'm not sure with Cosmo. Thanks in advance.
