GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 451744
Evolution always print page size A4
Last modified: 2007-06-28 14:46:27 UTC
Please describe the problem: Ubuntu original bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/86426 Evolution Print dialog does not provide for other page sizes, and it is hardcoded for A4. Steps to reproduce: 1. make a printer available, with -- say -- US Letter paper. 2. Select any e-mail, and print 3. either you have to override the printer warning, or the printed pages are cut off Actual results: print image is generated for A4 page size independent of what paper size is specified for the printer. Expected results: Evolution should query the printer/PPD and use the default page size. Ideally, Evolution should provide for setting the page size as a default (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=446894) and as an ad-hoc option (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=427748) Does this happen every time? Yes Other information:
Evolution 2.11.4 seems to print on other page sizes, but still seems to format for A4 -- so printing on US Letter results on printing truncation.
OK. Found bug 426816, of which this is a duplicate. Will mark so. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 426816 ***
