Description Paolo Benvenuto 2007-06-17 20:59:09 UTC
I select one or more images and want to move that to another directory:

- right mouse click -> copy (or move)
- the "choose the destination folder" dialog opens
- hit the browse botton
- click on the parent folder: for example: I was in [Home][Images][New]. I clicked on the [Images] botton on the top.

I expect that if I click on the [Open] button on the bottom, the image is copied to [Images], while it remains in the same directory.

Actually when I clicked on the [Images] button, the location bar presented me "New", i.e. the directory I were when I opened the dialog. So actually the user is informed (in the location bar) what is the directory to which the image is copied/moved.

Notwidthstanding, I think that when the user press (I always use the same example) the [Images] button, the dialog should work that that directory, and not the former, is to be selected.

This is a GtkFileChooser problem (bug 376121?).

I agree, it doesn't work well.
