Thanks for reporting this bug. Similar to bug#390399.

The stack trace (debug data) says something about "quit gnucash". Did you close the gnucash window? Or what exactly did you do? Can you please add some more explanation? This would help us fixing this crash.

"Add new account" rather reminds me of bug 366468. Could you please do the following:
(1) check whether the "Since last run" dialog or Scheduled Transactions Editor is open while you add accounts
(2) install the corresponding gnucash-dbginfo package and let it crash again
(3) (maybe) build gnucash from source, patched with http://svn.gnucash.org/trac/changeset/16207?format=diff&new=16207
Comment 6 pmckelvey 2007-06-24 15:43:42 UTC
Answer to #5
1) the app was opened specifically to test this problem. I opened it, did the key strokes and it crashed.
2) done
3)Tried to build from source but there seems to be an amazing number of different packages that are not available even on their own .org.

Re:
(1) This is not an answer to my question, because the SLR dialog can be spawned automatically at startup :-)
(2) So what is the stack trace then?
(3) A lot of packages do not have their own .org address but are hosted somewhere else. There is a lot of information about building gnucash in the wiki, mailing list archives and the tarball. There is also a spec file for redhat based distributions. OTOH, this here is the worst place for discussing the build system.

The crash indeed seems to be similar to bug#366468 which is fixed by the patch from comment#5.
