Description valerii 2007-06-14 06:58:52 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Gnome-commander does not handle the MIME type 'application/x-executable' right.

Steps to reproduce:
I compiled the gnome-commander from sources. Immediately I discovered that I can't launch applications within the gnome-commander. When I try doing that the message appears 'No default application found for the mime-type application/x-executable. Open the "File types and programs" page in the Control Center to add one.'
Installation via apt-get has the same result.

Actual results:

Expected results:
By default, any file manager must handle that MIME type correct.

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
I have Gnome and KDE installed side-by-side. OS Kubuntu Feisty 7.04 - amd64 version. CPU AMD64 3200+ 1Gb of RAM.
