Description eli 2001-09-10 00:45:14 UTC
If you type in "http://www.myplay.com" into the URL bar or select it from the
Bookmarks menu (Music and Video), Nautilus returns a Can't Display Location
error:

<snip>

Couldn't find "http://www.myplay.com". Please check the spelling and try again.

<snip>

Just so you know, this page displays fine using the standalone Mozilla M18 Linux
client (2000101815 build).

Another one related to bug 44310
(HEAD returns 404)

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-10-31 11:15:10 ----

This appears to be a mistake in the bookmarks file. The uri in the file is
"http://www.myplay.com/?sv=095-07-578". Nautilus can visit
"http://www.myplay.com" just fine. Assigning to Brian because he is Mr. Default
Bookmarks Content.

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-10-31 11:27:17 ----

This is not a mistake. The extra stuff at the end of the URL is for
click-through counting. It is apparently confusing Nautilus/Mozilla. Most likely
suspect is incorrect encoding of this extra portion of the URL.

I think this is an over-escaping problem

Sending this one at Pavel.

Pavel-- apparently the bookmarked URL is this:

http://www.myplay.com/?sv=095-07-578

Mike

------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-10-31 12:15:26 ----

Just to clarify, apparently when this bug was originally reported, Nautilus
could not visit the location "http://www.myplay.com". However, now it can, so
that was apparently a manifestation of a bug yakk fixed where wacky MIME types
were being returned by some web servers.

Now the bug is that the bookmark for MyPlay doesn't work in Nautilus. The
bookmark's uri is "http://www.myplay.com/?sv=095-07-578". That extra stuff on
the end is causing the problem somehow.

------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-10-31 14:30:31 ----

I think the problem here is the same as in bug 43438.

------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-11-01 11:05:25 ----

Pavel was right. It didn't take as long as I had feared.

------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-11-01 14:56:28 ----

Verified fixed on 13:33:56 RPM build.
