Description Sebastien Bacher 2007-05-31 20:48:33 UTC
The bug has been opened on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/117930

"Binary package hint: rhythmbox

0.11.0-0ubuntu1, gutsy

It would be great if, when the album art is downloaded, it is saved as cover.jpg or folder.jpg (if the library folder structure is by album), or even better in the music tags
..."

i also wander why Rhythmbox doesn't put covers in the album directory
(whereas Rhythmbox detects them when they exist in the album directory)
Comment 2 antistress 2008-07-20 08:13:40 UTC
Having Rhythmbox putting covers in the album directory could help other apps to re-use them (for instance Brasero 0.8 Cover Editor - see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=543820)
Maybe there is a need for some standardization through GNOME desktop concerning the place where cover art should be store ?
