What operating system are you using? If it is Windows, then your swap file most likely grew over 2GB and you are experiencing a duplicate of bug #398311.

Hi Sven and thank you for your answer.
Actualy I'm using Portable GIMP 2.2.14 under Windows XP SP2 with NTFS file format.. I understand now why it crashed... I read the topic about the bug #398311 and i would like to know where i can find a version of GIMP builded with the large file support on Windows ?

Comment 3 Sven Neumann 2007-05-31 18:20:49 UTC
It is not yet ready for general consumption. You will have to wait for GIMP 2.4.
