GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 44158
Dropping a file onto gnome-terminal doesn't insert a path name
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
When I drag a file to a gnome-terminal with GMC, it appends the name of the file at the spot of the cursor. It doesn't do this when I drag a file to it from Nautilus. On a similar note it has been said that if you drag a file from GMC to GnomeICU, (an icq client for GNOME), it will open a send file dialog, it doesn't do this with Nautilus. Josh ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-01-03 20:39:48 ---- Verified fixed using current hourly RPM build. Dragging: - files, folders & symbolic links from Icon View - file and folder icons from FTP servers ...add the the relative URL into the terminal window. The only exception is that files dragged from List View fail. I'll file a separate bug for that. (Anything below the first paragraph was not looked at. Josh, if any of it still applies, please fork it into a separate bug.) ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-01-03 20:53:25 ---- Mea Culpa. The full path is pasted, not the relative path. (forgot the meaning of the word. ;) --- Forked the List View scenario into bug #45424 ("Dragging icons from List View to Gnome-terminal doesn't paste path"). ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-01-03 21:01:44 ---- Oops. Mea culpa. Neglected to mention that files from Desktop were also copied. (but isn't that just a variant of an Icon View window?) ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:44 -------
