GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 441196
indicate which scripts are covered by the currently selected font
Last modified: 2021-06-02 09:20:21 UTC
This request was inspired by https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=241344 I think it would be a nice idea if there was some indication which scripts/blocks are fully covered/partially covered/not covered by the current font. One idea might be to show a small icon indicating this in the script/block list.
Or colorize the block/script list. Maybe linearly between active and inactive style colors... Note that fontconfig tells us what languages a font covers, but other than that it's all up to gucharmap to find coverage.
Speaking as a font developer, this would prove very helpful.
