Description Ja Ru 2007-05-23 06:45:42 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In many instances where a paragraph of text in the body of a composition window contains "From" as the first word, then the greater-than character is inserted at column 1

Steps to reproduce:
1. create some paragraphs with "From" as the first word (in a evolution mail composition window)

From sea to shining sea

From green to red.

From head to toe.

2. send to self
3. see resulting body

Actual results:
>From sea to shining sea

>From green to red.

>From head to toe.

Expected results:
Hopefully, no stray chars are inserted such as the greater-than character which is inserted.

Does this happen every time?
yes, but there are some arrangements of a paragraph where it will not happen.

this is what is called mbox "From_" munging which needs to happen because of the mbox format.
