GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 440302
Location bar disappears when folder name is too long.
Last modified: 2010-05-27 23:23:51 UTC
Please describe the problem: Location bar disappears completely when folder name is too long. I'll attach screenshots. Steps to reproduce: 1. Enter a folder with a very long name in Browser mode. 2. Decrease the width of the Nautilus window until the whole location row disappears. 3. Actual results: The location row containing the "folder buttons", zoom buttons, and "view as" dropdown completely disappears. Expected results: Maybe, similar to the toolbar, when buttons can't be displayed an arrow is displayed at the end of the row. When clicked this arrow could display everything that doesn't fit. However it's resolved, it should not silently disappear! :) Does this happen every time? Yes. The width that it occurs varies depending on the folder name lengths. Other information: Related (and old!) bug: 323379
