Description Thomas Perl 2007-05-15 11:12:04 UTC
I'm currently reading a 116 page long PDF document. I'd like to continue reading tomorrow, so I'm clicking on "Add bookmark" and enter a (optional) short description. The time of adding the bookmark is also saved.

When I open the same PDF tomorrow, the bookmarks menu is enabled and I see my bookmark I've set yesterday. Clicking on it brings me to the page and scroll position where I stopped reading. Renaming and deleting old bookmarks should also be supported.

The bookmark feature could optionally also save the last position when a file has been closed (i.e. something like "last position").

In fact, Evince does save the last position.

Hoever, bookmark support like this known from Nautilus would be a nice functionality.

Thanks for your request. What we really need is to implement annotations and proper history. Annotations stored in PDF will emulate bookmarks and this work is already going.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.
