Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so. Thanks in advance!
Hi, I have the same bug. (In reply to comment #2) > I have the same bug. This is a backtrace with epiphany-browser-dbg : This may well be a bug in epilicious itself rather than epiphany. Can you please install the debug symbols for glib and python-dbg as well, so we can try and narrow this down? Thanks.
No problem. The same with glib-dbg et python-dbg. Thanks for the help :) Distribution: Debian lenny/sid Gnome Release: 2.18.2 2007-05-28 (Debian) BugBuddy Version: 2.18.1 System: Linux 2.6.21-1-amd64 #1 SMP Sat May 26 17:22:54 CEST 2007 x86_64 X Vendor: The X.Org Foundation X Vendor Release: 10300000 Selinux: No Accessibility: Disabled GTK+ Theme: SphereCrystal Icon Theme: HumanAzul2 Memory status: size: 544419840 vsize: 544419840 resident: 102785024 share: 32284672 rss: 102785024 rss_rlim: 18446744073709551615 CPU usage: start_time: 1181905374 rtime: 4151 utime: 3934 stime: 217 cutime:0 cstime: 0 timeout: 0 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 100 Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/epiphany-browser' Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". Would you run the following commands in the Python Console inside Epiphany? import epiphany bms = epiphany.ephy_shell_get_default().get_bookmarks() bms.find_keyword("EpiliciousShare", False) Let me know what the result is.
Created attachment 90012 [details] stack trace 1
This is the output : >>> import epiphany >>> bms = epiphany.ephy_shell_get_default().get_bookmarks() >>> bms.find_keyword("EpiliciousShare", False) <EphyNode at 0x166d940> but epiphany crash again (stack trace in the attachement)
Then I'd say it's not an Epilicious problem, but rather a problem with Epiphany and its Python bindings on 64-bit machines. I'm marking this as a duplicate of bug #419712. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 419712 ***
This must be the problem. I'm trying to use epilicious to synchronize bookmarks in two machines (using ma.gnolia). It works great on i386 but it crashes on amd64. Both distributions are Debian and the installation as identical as possible.

My solution is to download the Debian source packages and rebuild without optimisation. It works like a charm :-) If you are on Debian Sid you can grab packages from my repo: http://therning.org/magnus_apt/unstable/
