GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 43734
error when dragging files around within a folder
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
Drill into a folder of the on-line storage through Nautilus, left click and drag a file away from its location (this serves to relocate the file icon in Nautilus), it pops up an error dialog "File already exists, would you replace it?". If you click on "skip," nothing will happen. However, if you click on "replace", the file will be deleted from the folder. If you right click and drag a file icon away, it will pop up a selection box with "copy here", "move here", etc. If you select "copy here", you will get the same result as left click and drag (see above). If you select "move here", it will move the file icon to the new place (which is acceptable). ------- Additional Comments From sullivan@eazel.com 2000-10-13 08:15:26 ---- Sounds pretty nasty. ------- Additional Comments From mikef@praxis.etla.net 2000-10-13 18:04:11 ---- Robin's showed me this too. Getting rid of the Services components. (I probably should not have exported these bugs.)
