The SINC algorithm as it is included in the panorama tools software package is an algorithm which can be used for high quality resizing. In many cases it is superior to the cubic interpolation offered by GIMP in <Image><Scale>. SINC can be used via the pano tools plugin, but it is cumbersome to use. It would be great to have SINC as a fourth algorithm to choose from in the image scaling dialogue.

Please check the development version before filing enhancement requests. We also appreciate if enhancement requests are discussed on the mailing-list before a bug report is opened.
