It would be very nice to save comments in the JPEG COM tag (comment marker = 0xFFFE).
I think about a configurable option, where to store the comments.
IMHO saving it inside the file is the best way. IPTC comment is a nice idea but for instance in Ubuntu gThumb is not compiled with this library. Why not using the JPEG build in comment tag?
And of course it would be nice to see the comment in slide show.
