(In reply to comment #0) > What were you doing when the application crashed? > Revisando el correo I was looking at an email. When I clicked back onto a message I had already read but needed to re-review the crash happened. This is a fresh load of Fedora 7. Not a upgrade and I just finished the install and all updates that are available from redhat a few mins prior. I am using the evolution connector to talk with our exchange server. If you need any further information please let me know. > > > Distribution: Fedora release 6.93 (Rawhide) > Gnome Release: 2.18.0 2007-03-23 (Red Hat, Inc) > BugBuddy Version: 2.18.0 > > System: Linux 2.6.20-1.3104.fc7 #1 SMP Sat Apr 21 22:20:43 EDT 2007 i686 > X Vendor: The X.Org Foundation > X Vendor Release: 10299905 > Selinux: Enforcing > Accessibility: Disabled > GTK+ Theme: Clearlooks > Icon Theme: Echo > > Memory status: size: 164519936 vsize: 164519936 resident: 41402368 share: > 23105536 rss: 41402368 rss_rlim: 4294967295 > CPU usage: start_time: 1177621881 rtime: 2904 utime: 2699 stime: 205 cutime:47 > cstime: 30 timeout: 0 it_real_value: 0 frequency: 100 > > Backtrace was generated from '/usr/bin/evolution' > > (no debugging symbols found) > Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1". > (no debugging symbols found) > [Thread debugging using libthread_db enabled] > [New Thread -1208281376 (LWP 2739)] > [New Thread -1347331184 (LWP 3146)] > [New Thread -1399780464 (LWP 3145)] > [New Thread -1305371760 (LWP 2806)] > [New Thread -1278547056 (LWP 2762)] > [New Thread -1257567344 (LWP 2760)] > (no debugging symbols found) > 0x001d5402 in __kernel_vsyscall () > #0 0x001d5402 in __kernel_vsyscall () > #1 0x4a5debfb in waitpid () from /lib/libpthread.so.0 > #2 0x4aea7a46 in ?? Hi My setup is the same as brian's. I have a fresh install of FC7 reading my e-mail from an exchange server. I was just reading a message, I clicked to read another (not new) when evo' died. HTH, Nick

When I got this, I had selected a message, clicked on Subject to sort by subject, and then clicked the first message with that subject and evo crashed. I'm running evo 2.10.2 on FC7. However, I was running evo 2.4 on FC4 until a couple of days earlier. I did a fresh install (not update) of FC7, but I did keep my ~/.evolution directory.
this is a RedHat-specific patch that is causing this bug... I thought they had fixed it in a new package already. You might try seeing if there are updated packages.

You might try seeing if there are updated > packages. > Hm. Can you comment further on that? Like link to the redhat bug?

Dear reporters, Unfortunately the stack trace here is still missing some elements that will help a lot to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash. Could you please install some debugging packages [1], start the application as normal, and reproduce the crash, if possible? Once bug-buddy pops up, you can find the stacktrace in the Details, now containing way more information. Please copy that stacktrace and paste it as a comment here. Thanks in advance! [1] debugging packages for evolution, evolution-data-server, gtkhtml, gtk, glib, gnome-vfs, pango, libgnome and libgnomeui (as far as those packages are provided by your distribution). More details can be found here: http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces
