GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 43368
Remove Undo for 1.0
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
The undo feature is horribly incomplete, and I feel it would take more work to get into shape than it would be to just remove it for 1.0. The framework is there and ready for us post 1.0, but there's not time left to refine what little is there now. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-10-02 08:52:50 ---- It's pretty easy for me to hide the undo feature if we get consensus that we should do what Arlo suggests here. ------- Additional Comments From josh@eazel.com 2000-10-02 15:12:10 ---- I'm afraid I have to agree. Undo doesn't do anything that I think it will. It seems *really* unfinished to me. I think that it should be taken out for 1.0 also. ------- Additional Comments From bud@eazel.com 2000-10-03 13:24:36 ---- We decided in May to limit Undo to text operations for 1.0, and to address a more comprehensive Undo for post-1.0. Undo seems to work ok for text operations. Why do we want to change our decision? ------- Additional Comments From bud@eazel.com 2000-10-11 14:49:29 ---- Discussed with Arlo. Will disable Undo for pre-release. There are some other bugs on Undo caused by bonoboUI changes. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 19:53:15 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-02-17 19:00:50 ---- Verified; I can't find any way to trigger an Undo feature. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:40 ------- The original reporter (arlo@workthatmouse.com) of this bug does not have an account here.
