How to create new desktop program launcher
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
I have no idea how to create new program launchers in the Nautilus desktop. There are launchers to GIMP and Gnumeric in the Nautilus/ folder, but i tried to copy and change it to a launcher for Gnome Terminal, it didn't work. ------- Additional Comments From linuxfan@ionet.net 2000-09-23 23:02:23 ---- This is a bug that was talked about for quite a while. I think it's called a "Feature" those... The Nautilus links that you are seeing in the ~/Nautilus folder aren't intended to be used by users. If I'm not mistaken, they want us to use symlinks. There will, however, be a way to assign custom icons to symlinks. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-09-25 11:02:07 ---- This is related to bug 42212. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2000-10-16 19:40:22 ---- Batch-assigning QA ownership of remaining bugs to eli@eazel.com ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2000-12-28 11:21:14 ---- Wow! I never noticed that before. Let's try to fix this after 1.0.1. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-02-09 11:28:06 ---- Duane is now the proud owner for Desktop QA. ------- Additional Comments From eli@eazel.com 2001-03-26 11:18:59 ---- SPAAAAAAAAAM! (Jon Allen has taken these components; QA Assigning bugs to him.) ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:40 -------
