GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 43234
should be able to assign icons to supertypes
Last modified: 2004-12-22 21:47:04 UTC
gnome_vfs_mime_get_icon/gnome_vfs_mime_set_icon should allow getting/setting icons to MIME supertypes - that way we can have a fallback icon for text, audio, video, image, etc. in case an icon for a specific type is not available. ------- Additional Comments From darin@bentspoon.com 2000-09-25 10:15:06 ---- Great idea. ------- Additional Comments From don@eazel.com 2000-12-18 19:22:35 ---- This _is_ a good idea. Rebecca, if you can get a time estimate for this, we might be able to move it up in priority. ------- Additional Comments From rebecka@eazel.com 2000-12-19 08:59:54 ---- I would have sworn there was a bug for this somewhere else, although maybe I'm thinking of this one. In either case, I agree, it's a good thing to have, although it'd be interesting to know how often this situation occurs, and it would be really easy to measure. ------- Bug moved to this database by unknown@bugzilla.gnome.org 2001-09-09 20:40 ------- The original reporter (pavel@eazel.com) of this bug does not have an account here.
