Looks like a crash in alsa... is it easy to reproduce ? Was the druid happy about the sound setup ?
I have here pulseaudio with /usr/lib64/alsa-lib/libasound_module_ctl_pulse.so and /usr/lib64/alsa-lib/libasound_module_pcm_pulse.so which may be the problem. No, I haven't set up sound with druid.
You should set the sound up with the druid.
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 413552 ***
Matej, can you try finding out if the problem is due to pulseaudio or not ? The original bug report is in Bug #413552 Thanks.
Yes, when I excorcised pulseaudio-alsa plugin from my system, ekiga is not crashing anymore. Do you know whether it is a bug in ekiga or in alsa PA-plugin?
Actually, I don't know, it can be a bug in the ALSA plugin of Ekiga, or in PulseAudio or in ALSA itself. I will mail the PulseAudio author...
If a plugin works with all alsa drivers but one, chances are the problem is in the driver.
Reopening just in case it's us, by the way : let's wait and see.
Snark, it is still a dup of Bug #413552
Do all these people use pulse-audio ?
So, does the reporter of this one bug use pulse-audio ?
Actually, I did, but I don't any more -- and yes, there are no crashes.
Sigh. So that was pulse-audio. Wonderful. Yet another outside source of issues which will get blamed on us :-(
