GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 430846
The Gimp 2 wont Start
Last modified: 2007-04-18 08:08:04 UTC
Please describe the problem: Frist off, I love Gimp 2, a friend of mine introduced the program to me a few months ago. However, the other day I went to use the program to color a picture I had drawn. Only to have Gimp to freez and lock up on me during start up. It stops at the same point as its trying to load the fonts. I've ran the virus and Ad-aware scans, thinking perhaps there was a componet on my computer that was causing it to make it freez. However, that was not the problum. So I figured, maybe one of my siblings messed with the program. No big deal, I uninstalled the programs related to Gimp. And then reinstalled it through the website. I got to start the Gimp 2 now, after installing it. Only to have it freez and lock up at the same point during start up. What is going on here? And is there a way to fix it? Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
