Description brentonr 2007-04-17 21:32:40 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
Updated settings for IMAP mail account via "Edit" button under "Mail Accounts"
  * Changed IMAP and SMTP from security NONE to TLS
  * Added PGP/GPG ID to Security tab
Then I clicked "Save" from the edit mail account window & it crashed.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
Unfortunately, that stack trace is missing some elements that will help a lot
to solve the problem, so it will be hard for the developers to fix that crash.
Can you get us a stack trace with debugging symbols? Please see
http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
Thanks in advance!

I installed the debug packages for this, and recreated the crash. I cut and paste the bug buddy information in here:

Comment 9 palfrey 2007-07-31 20:52:34 UTC
Can you reproduce this while running Evolution under gdb? See http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces/Details#gdb-not-yet-running for details how to do this. Also, can you double-check that you've installed the debug package for glib2? Thanks!
Comment 10 Andrig Miller 2007-07-31 21:21:23 UTC
Okay, I installed the glib2 debuginfo package, and recreated the crash from gdb, but I didn't get a back trace. Here is what I got:

***MEMORY-ERROR***: evolution[31228]: GSlice: assertion failed: sinfo->n_allocated > 0

Program exited with code 01.
(gdb) thread apply all bt
(gdb)

I also now don't get a bug buddy pop-up when it crashes, but it crashes every time. Sometimes I have to wait 30 seconds, but most of the time it is immediate.
Comment 11 Andrig Miller 2007-07-31 21:25:21 UTC
Okay, I crashed it again, and the bug buddy did pop up this time:
