GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 430816
memo preview in calendar view is weird
Last modified: 2007-09-27 08:27:46 UTC
As far as I understand, memo list in calendar view only shows memo that have their start date on the selected/current day. IMHO there is something wrong here. At first I supposed that since task list behaves the same way that in task view, memo list should behave the same way that in memo view meaning I wanted to see all my memos. Thinking more about it, maybe the current behavior is not wrong, but it needs some rewording because it's confusing to the user (who obviously doesn't read doc if it ever was mentionned). I guess something like "Today's memo" would do. At least it gives a hint on the expected behavior of the memo list.
It seems to me it's not only "today", it's for a visible time range (not selected), look for "Week view", so there is a little difference.
this bug is very similar to bug #359267 Besides the other problem reported in the other bug, I find it really counter intuitive to only show memos filled on the day/range of days shown. It's still on my TODO to find a way to make it more intuitive but that might be dealt with later. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 359267 ***
