Description Andrew Overholt 2007-04-13 16:42:00 UTC
I originally filed this in Red Hat bugzilla assuming it was a Fedora issue.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=236389

Description of problem:
Tomboy help says that the bugzilla plugin allows dragging of a bug URL onto a
note and having it automatically add a little bug icon. This doesn't work for me.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
tomboy-0.6.1-1.fc7.i386

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a web browser (Epiphany or Firefox) and make sure it's not full screen
2. Tomboy -> create new note
3. Navigate to a bug URL in the browser and drag it into the note

Actual results:
URL link is created but not bug icon

Expected results:
bug icon

Additional info:
This isn't a huge deal for me but I think it is actually malfunctioning.

Have you enabled the Bugzilla plugin in the Plugins tab of the Preferences dialog?

Yes.

Same for me. I had it working some time ago, but not any longer (rebuild my whole desktop since I last tried, so I cannot say why it broke). Anyway, wasn't there a window to set up bugzillas and set icons? I cannot press the configure button for the bugzilla plugin anymore...
Comment 4 Sandy Armstrong 2007-12-01 19:21:17 UTC
Michael: Seems that you're using an old version of Tomboy if you're talking about a "configure" button. Since Tomboy 0.8.0 the button is labeled "Preferences".

Andrew: I'm going to close this bug...it could be that there were issues installing the default bugzilla icon (you only have to go into the preferences if you want to use specific icons for specific bugzillas) in the previous version of Tomboy. If somebody can reproduce this bug with Tomboy 0.8.0 or greater, please feel free to reopen this bug.

Thanks!

Sandy, It kind of works for me now btw. I can set up new bugzillas with custom icons and I can drag bugzilla links to notes. The only problem is that the links don't use the custom icons, I tried this for the gnome and mozilla bugzillas and both display the blue worm-like icon.
Comment 6 Sandy Armstrong 2007-12-01 20:01:30 UTC
Yeah, now I can't get the host-specific icons to work either. Reopening.
Comment 7 Sandy Armstrong 2007-12-01 20:08:19 UTC
I think this is part of the Boston Summit work that went in in early October. Trying to figure it out.
Comment 8 Sandy Armstrong 2007-12-01 20:18:45 UTC
Alright, got it, a fix is on the way.
Comment 9 Sandy Armstrong 2007-12-01 20:57:02 UTC
Fixed in trunk revision 1647.
Comment 10 Michael Monreal 2007-12-01 21:16:08 UTC
Thanks Sandy, this works now. I found some problems with this plugin, though... see bugs 500926 and 500927.
