GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 429135
support online rss readers subscription with RSS epiphany extension
Last modified: 2013-05-27 16:12:02 UTC
Please describe the problem: It'd be great if the epiphany rss extension could add feeds to a google reader account as well as dbus-enabled local applications. Firefox supports this, so in theory it shouldn't be too difficult to implement? Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
That would be nice.
some more info: if you disable the rss extension, epiphany can subscribe via google reader. if the extension is enabled, it doesn't seem to be able to find the same code path.
I guess this bug report should be generalized into "supports online rss readers subscription with RSS epiphany extension".
Good idea.

What about the "News Feed Subscription" extension that can be found here https://live.gnome.org/Epiphany/Extensions ?
According to its developer, epiphany-extensions is not under active development anymore. (For reference: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-i18n/2013-May/msg00035.html and bug 700924.) It is unlikely that there will be any further active development. Closing this report as WONTFIX as part of Bugzilla Housekeeping - Please feel free to reopen this bug report in the future if anyone takes the responsibility for active development again.
