Description michele 2007-04-12 10:01:54 UTC
What were you doing when the application crashed?
I just told Gnucash to Save the data. Then I closed the application and it asked me if I wanted to save (maybe it had not finished saving yet) and I choosed to save. Then it crashed

Are you able to reproduce? If so, can you run gnucash in a terminal and relay anything printed to the console? It looks like there's some assertion/warning being hit, but it's not clear what it is.
Comment 2 michelinux 2007-04-12 14:24:18 UTC
I can reproduce the problem everytime I save and before it finishes I close Gnucash and I let it to save again.
that's what I see in the console:

gnucash: [M] "Found Finance::Quote version ""1.11"

** ERROR **: file io-gncxml-v2.c: line 1292 (try_gz_open): assertion failed: (gzip_child_pid == 0)

Can you please update to 2.0.5 and make sure it still exists there? I'm pretty sure this bug was fixed. See bug #353450
Comment 4 Josh Sled 2007-04-12 14:38:17 UTC
This almost certainly is; please reopen if not.
