Description sam 2007-04-10 23:09:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
"On This Computer" or local mail folders can be created. Sometimes deleting them fails because Evolution doesn't delete all the files out of each directory before trying to delete the directory. This throws up the error "Cannot delete folder "fleh".

Because "Could not delete folder `fleh':
Directory not empty"."

My example of this is copying my IMAP mailbox into it, files are created in there that can't be deleted by Evolution.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Make a local folder
2. Copy the entire contents of an IMAP mailbox into it.
3. Try and delete the local folder.

Actual results:
All the messages and possibly some of the subfolders get deleted, but the IMAP mailboxes "Inbox" folder can't be deleted, and also the local folder itself.

Expected results:
Evolution would clear out the folder (I think the offending files are actually Evolutions files after all!) and then remove the folders.

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
Can email me if you want the files to do it. Thanks.

Is this still an issue in Evolution 3.8 or later with the IMAP+ account type?
