I upgraded to rhythmbox 0.9.8 and was hopeful this bug was fixed, but there was no difference in symtpoms, rhythumbox craters after trying to open up a music file from magnatunes.com
It looks like you don't have the GStreamer plugins required to play mp3 files installed. I don't really think this is the cause of the crash, though.

Jonathan, Thanks for your help. Sure appreciate your work. I'll look forward to being able to use the mp3 files with magnatune.com.... great combo for rhythumbox. I am not sure how to obtain or install the mp3 plugins for GStreamer. Can you point me in the right direction. Thank you, Greg
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Multimedia/MP3 and http://tldp.org/HOWTO/html_single/Fedora-Multimedia-Installation-HOWTO/ provide some details on GStreamer plugins for various formats that fedora doesn't/can't ship.
Jonathan, I installed the "ugly" plugins and the problem with rhythmbox resolved. It is really nice to be able to play magnatunes via rhythmbox. Thanks for your help, and thanks for rhythmbox!! Greg
Well, that's interesting. It doesn't crash for me if I remove the mp3 decoder plugins. Glad you got it working, though.
Another downstream report at: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=237394 I wonder what the problem is...

I guess we might as well lump this in with all the other python-threading-in-0.10.0-or-earlier crashes in bug 436456. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 436456 ***
